How can the media stand relevant in women’s everyday life? The “Hyvä Olo” service (Good Well-being) aims to improve women’s well-being in their everyday life by bringing solutions close to them—to their own mobile devices.

Case

Iltalehti launched a new kind of well-being service, which aim is to empower Finnish women. The service provides information and low-threshold solutions on how women could improve their well-being as part of their daily lives.

Hyvä Olo service offers solutions for better everyday life, training, nutrition, interpersonal relationships, body well-being, sleep, and stress management. The service aims to offer concrete benefits.

“Before we started producing content for the Hyvä Olo service, we asked Finnish women “How are they” and “What interests them in their well-being,” stated Piia Rantio, the publishing manager in charge of the lifestyle department.

Women experienced that dreaming about the “dream world,” overwhelming lifestyle images, and life on social media were not meaningful. To address these insights, the Hyvä Olo service delivered content that brought concrete solutions and straightforward guides that provided low-threshold activities and information to improve their well-being.

Outcome

The content of the service is based on:

  • Concrete knowledge and knowledge-based understanding of own starting point
  • Active life attitude and clear guides for each theme to support it.
